Golly, Gosh, Oh Gee...

Cindy Sheehan Requests Privacy

Gosh, why would anyone bother this humble and unassuming little lady? It's a shame! Why won't people leave her alone? She just wants to live her life privately and quietly and comfort her mother. !

Ain't it a toot? Is this the gal who's been camped on Bush's door step for how long now?

Right or wrong, Cindy, you can't have it both ways! So your mother had a stroke-so what? What would you have done if Mrs. Bush, W's mother, had had a stroke? Yeah, I know,- you'd have packed up your camp and entourage and gone home and let him have his privacy. Sure you would! 'duh'...- believe that!

Cindy, I don't know if you are right or wrong about how you feel and what you're doing to the president but it's a bit presumptuous to think the gate doesn't swing both ways!

Now, be a man and don't whine because you're getting back some of what you've been giving out! You might be right in what you're doing with the pres, who knows or even cares, but you ain't no better than W or anyone else! What goes around, comes around! Face it-get over it!

Later...

It's a shame. When this woman realizes what an ass she has made of herself and how she has been used, she is going to have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning.

It's embarrasing watching her. Atleast that's the way I feel. Sort of like the way I felt about Archie Bunker at times.

Cindy Sheehan has a lot of nerve and C A has it right. You can't woo the media into giving you air time and then expect them to respect "Your Privacy".

I would be more sympathetic to her cause if she would respect the Bush's privacy and camp out at the White House.

I think its funny how long shes been camped in texas and bush is still there on vacation. i wish i could get a job that payed me to be on vacation 40% of the time.

You can get a job like that. Just run for and get elected President of the USA. Have the opposing party try to circumvent your nominees and fillibuster and otherwise oppose your every move. You will need a vacation by then. And remember, the President is never really on vacation.

he has set a new record for time spent on vacation. And are you trying to say i should pitty the president because the democrates are fillibustering his appointments? well maybe if he picked people that were in line with what the majority of the people wanted he wouldnt have this mess, of course if majority rule mattered in this country then bush never would have been president. And better clarify that last part, im not saying he needs to appoint an ultra liberal judge im saying that going with a hard line right wing isnt the answer. some where in the middle is where most people go when appointing a judge which is where most americans are, somewhere in the middle.
That embarrasing feeling you get monicar, i know that feeling. thats how i feel when i see Bush standing at a podium, grinning like an idiot, telling us whats going on in Iraq, while Bin Laden walks free. While his children are here in safety and my friends are over there fighting a war they wanted nothing to do with. They just wantd a college education and the economy was so bad they had no other way out. thats embarrising.

A new record for time spent on vacation? How do you come by this knowledge?

The majority rules and that's why the Demos have to resort to fillibusters. Last time I looked, the Repubs have the majority in both the house and senate.

Yeah - interesting how old whatisname worked that one out.

The Republicans are the majority. The Democrats would like to block a simple up or down vote knowing that they will lose if they don't.

Majority rules.

And NOT election 2000 again. You've been proven wrong in your assertions - give it up already ya yo-yo.

Arthur, you should publish a disclaimer before each comment you post stating your opinions are, in fact, just opinions and have little to do with fact since you state very little that is fact.

"...if majority rule mattered in this country then bush never would have been president."
That majority elected Bush President.

"...where most americans are, somewhere in the middle."

Anyone in the middle is nowhere. Remember, if you are always in the middle, you can be hit by the train from both directions. Anyone sitting on the fence can be pushed in either direction. 'If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.'

Two other small points:
1. The majority of Americans wanted the war on terrorism in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
2. (a)Anyone who has to join the army to get an education doesn't have a hell of a lot going for him.(b)The military is for the protection of our Nation, not to educate indigents.

Have you been in the military? I think every young man should be drafted and required to serve at least two years in defense of his country. I'm right-wing and proud of it.

Ok during the first election Bush won the electorial college, but it is undisputed that he lost the popular vote but approx 500,000 votes. but in this country we have the electorial college. And for the latest election we will never know how it really happened because with the new electronic voting machines theres no way to prove anything. they could be tampered with by people from either party, or just by some hacker who wants the mess things up. theres also the ongoing alligations of fraud in ohio and florida, one florida county had something in the area of 97% voter turnout, sounds odd. Of course if the demo's didnt just roll over and accept defet in 2000 it may have been solved. And time spent on vacation is one of the many things that a president does that is in public records. He has spent 319 days on vacation and he still has three years to go. thats according to the washington post and the article is over 20 days old so its probly about 340. so about 20% of his time is on vacation. The 40% bit i realised was a very old article, that was his time on vaction before 9/11 i believe. But he still says 9/11 is clintons fault. oh well im not going to get into that debate right now. the information is just to clouded on both sides for that fight. but yes it is only my opinion, so ill back it up with facts.

Does it seem strange that every time a Republican wins an election the other side alleges there must have been something crooked (or just wrong) with the election?

The new machines (could) have been tampered with...a hacker (could) have tampered with the results...the alleged (fraud) in Florida and Ohio...too much(97%) voter turnout in a Florida county...this is the first I have heard that a really good voter turnout could constitute a fraud..
Get over it, Mr. Dent...your candidate lost the election because people didn't want him.

That extra 500,000 votes for Al Gore all came from people in California who are on welfare or were Mexican aliens who were just sworn in as citizens by the DNC in return for their vote.(The same thing happened with a California Representative, B1 Bob Dornan, when Loretta Sanchez had 100,000 illegal Mexicans sworn in as citizens so she could get their vote to defeat Dornan)

And Art, I wouldn't get into Clinton-not unless you can explain how he sold a top secret military secret(Missile guidance system) to the Communist Chinese for $400,000.

Or why he accidently bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan while looking for Osama bin Laden. 'oops'

Or how he had the guts to receive a head job from Monica while he was on the phone with the Pentagon discussing how many troops were to be sent to die in Bosnia.

You need to study up on this stuff.

The President is never on vacation. He may not be in DC, but that man is never on vacation.

No matter where he is or what he is doing - he is being briefed daily and is in constant communication with his cabinet.

I am more or less satisfied with the Sheehan "event". The more she talks, the more her true nature is revealed. This is exactly why we have free speech.
