Let's See If These Blacks Are Better Than...
Muslims are about coming forward and identifying terrorists, in this case the assailants who beat into unconsciousness two returning Iraqi War veterans.
All right, come on and speak up! Are you men or just heathens like the muslims and the people who did this? We'll see.
Later...

i really dont agree with your sweeping every muslim with a large broom.
i must accept it though, as there are many in the world like you. it's a reality.
"muslim" does not equate to "terrorist" but i'm sure there is no point arguing as you are dead set on this subject.
I'm sure there are many muslims who do not buy into the radical muslim mindset. However they do seem to be very very quiet about any opposition to radical muslims(terriots)
I, too, see that as the main point Mr. Loobz. We keep hearing that there are muslims who don't condone this type of behaviour. Where are they? It's time for them to stand up and be counted.
mr jim,
there are always 2 sides of anything.
to keep it simple, there are 2 groups of muslims: extremists and moderates.
there are more moderates than extremists and perhaps you haven't come across the papers from at least my part of the world, but we moderates do condemn the actions of the extremists.
they're so few but what they do really embarrass us. they're giving us all a bad name.
who said we haven't done anything?
in these parts alone, we have to contend with at least the MILF from mindanao, southern philippines, the JI from indonesia as well as the extremists from pattani, southern thailand.
when 911 happened, my government sent no less but my elite GUARDS unit to secure the american base in sembawang, singapore.
there, we hung out with the US navy men and shopped in their navy exchange supermarket within the base.
when the US navy men touched down from their ships, they had nothing to worry about coz we were there. we were friends.
on my part, as a muslim, i did not protest. so did my other muslim colleagues. we are moderates.
i took pride in leading my GPMG team whether we were posted at the machine gun post facing the seas protecting the waters where the US navy ships haboured at OR patrolling the sembawang vicinity in my jeep where many US military personnel and their families live.
you need to open your mind on such things. there are 2 sides of everything.
There you go mr loobz. You're right, I never heard or read anything about what you just stated.
Really proves what we say about the bias of the media.
Maybe the real problem is with the muslim factions here and in the Arabic countrys.
Hopefully there are a lot more muslims such as yourself, but here in the US, I think we have wanna be "black muslims" that don't really believe in anything but getting even with the "white man".
And the bona fide muslims living here are either afraid to speak up or they secretly support the radicals. I have never heard of any protesting the actions of the terriosts. Then again, maybe they don't make it into the news. Only time will tell.
thank you for that sandy.
moderates don't form groups such as the extremists do. we don't come with the United Moderate Muslim Front Against The Fanatics or whatever.
we are law-abiding, peace-loving people. when push comes to shove, we support our government.
our government is anti-terrorist. our government supports whoever is against terrorism.
did you know that within days my government captured the people who were responsible to planning the bombing of a train station here?
they were from the extremist Jemaah Islamiyah (ji) who are strong in indonesia.
our government is so efficient it's baffling.
this is the best part: if you've noticed, singapore is surrounded by large muslim nations in these parts. much like israel.
we are the only territory who hasn't been rocked by bombings, strikes, wars or whatsoever.
we are very safe and secure.
i assume that to prove a very strong point, all the terrorists need to do is to let a bomb go in singapore and that'd be chaos.
that's all they need to do that if singapore can succumb, no other nation is safe.
we are the last stronghold.
deep down, all of us have this fear too but we all know that not all muslims are responsible for creating this fear because day to day, we live in a tolerant multi racial society.
going back to my last few points, if the JI were successful in bombing that train station i mentioned, there's a high chance my mom and a couple of siblings might end up dead as the station is in their town.
if that was to happen, who do you think i'd join? the extremists or my elite GUARDS?
no doubt about it my friends. i'll hunt them down like rabbits.
but if peace could be maintained through prevention, i hope it goes on forever.
Thank you Mr. Loobz for telling us how you feel and thank you for being a friend to our men and women in uniform.
There IS an organization of Muslims who are against terror. It is fairly new. They held a rally in Washington DC that an estimated 50 to 150 supporters attended. Daniel Pipes noted that some of the endorsers are peculiar but is keeping an open mind. Here are the links:

Daniel Pipes
You can see that turnout was a bit on the low side. It's possible that not many Muslims have heard of this organization and that the rally was not well publicized. It's possible that moderate Muslims are in fear for standing up. Many things are possible.
Monicar, thanks for the site, "Free Muslims." I read over it and it is very interesting. Of course, it doesn't change anything as far as Islam goes. I am still waiting for any Muslim to renounce Dinner Table-5:51 of their bible, the Koran which states. "[5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people." As you can see, their allah commands them to not befriend Christians and Jews.
And admit Islam was forced on the world by the deaths of hundred of thousands of innocent Christians and Jews. This isn't something I made up. It is a fact of history.
PS Mr Loobz knows how I feel about him. He is a good person and I know he wouldn't condone terrorism but that doesn't change the facts about the muslim religion and islam. Anyone can research both and should before they allow themselves to become a Muslim.
sure jim, maybe that verse really exists in the koran.
i have no idea because i dont seek such things.
the people who've taught me what i know about islam have never pointed that out to me. perhaps it's not essential.
perhaps the people who taught the people who taught me are also the same.
in essence jim, no religion teaches violence. it's just that some people happen to be too fanatic and overdo things which hurt others thinking that they're doing good.
let me tell ya, all those extremists who taught they've died for the islamic jihad cause died in vain.
now let's talk about south america, guam and the philippines.
the "uncivilised barbarians" there didn't really welcome the catholic priests with open arms the 1st time they sashayed ashore did they?
weren't they also massacred in order for the catholic religion to be spread.
for instance, the entire population of native people of guam were almost wiped by the spanish when they resisted.
this was done for what?
for the glory of the king and for the glory of God.
and at whose expense?
so blood were shed because of religion and not only islam.
this was why i rejected religion for many years until recently.
anyway, before i forget, thank you jim and monicar for the compliments mentioned above.
jim and i are miles apart, not to mention yeeears apart in age (haha), but we're pals.
I think loobz nailed it when he pointed out about the Catholic crusade.
I contend that a lot of violence has been commited in the name of religion. Not God, but religion.
I also think there are verses in the Bible that tell christians not to hang with non-believers. I'll have to researh that to be sure.
I guess my point is: All religions have good and bad. But we are not being attacked by the Chatholics, Jews, Mormons or any other religous organization except Islam.
I am sure that the Bible has many passages that are violent. Many passages I have read I disagree with. Yet I still consider myself a Christian. (although probably not a very good one...)
